
Udaipur, June 5 (Udaipur Kiran): Approval has been granted for the reconstruction of the Pannadhay Government Women’s Hospital building in Udaipur, with an allocation of Rs 120 crore for the project. Work orders have also been issued for the redevelopment.
Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat said the approval was issued following his request to the Chief Minister and the Medical Education Department. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Medical Minister for approving the project.
Dr. Rawat stated that the proposal had been pending in Jaipur for a long time. Following his representation, Medical Education Commissioner Babulal Goyal issued a communication to the Principal of RNT Medical College regarding the issuance of a Letter of Intent to HLL Lifecare Ltd., which has been appointed as the executing agency for the project.
According to the communication, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared on the basis of Public Works Department BSR norms.
Earlier, Dr. Rawat had highlighted concerns regarding the deteriorating condition of the hospital building and the difficulties faced by women patients, particularly pregnant women. He stated that due to the condition of the existing structure, patients were being shifted to other wards that were not fully equipped with the required medical facilities and equipment, creating concerns related to patient care and safety.
