Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Anukul Roy has been added to the India A squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour for the tri-series. Anukul replaces Harsh Dubey in the squad, who received his maiden call-up to India’s Test and ODI squads for the home series against Afghanistan.
The tri-series involving India A, Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A is scheduled to take place in Dambulla from June 9 to June 21, 2026. Anukul has played a starring role for KKR, especially in their turnaround, that sees them still in contention for a playoff spot this season.
“The Men’s Selection Committee has added Anukul Roy to the India A squad for the upcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka. He replaces Harsh Dubey, who has received his maiden call-up to India’s Test and ODI squads for the upcoming IDFC First Bank home series against Afghanistan.”
“The tri-series will feature Sri Lanka A, India A and Afghanistan A, and will be played in Dambulla from June 9 to June 21, 2026,” read the statement from BCCI.
Tilak Varma will be captaining a strong team that will see Riyan Parag serve as his deputy. All the focus will be on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who is aiming to make an impact in India A colours as he continues his push for a senior team call-up.

ANUKUL IN IPL 2026
Anukul came into the IPL 2026 season on the back of a spectacular Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign with Jharkhand, which saw him named as the Player Of The Tournament.
IPL 2026 has been the first season that Anukul has been able to nail down a permanent spot in the KKR side, picking up eight wickets from 13 matches.
He has worked as the third spinner for Kolkata alongside Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.
