UP Lekhpal Main Exam Conducted with Strict Security Measures

Lucknow, May 21: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducted the Lekhpal main examination on Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM in a single shift. To ensure fairness and prevent cheating, stringent security measures were implemented across the state.

Candidates were granted entry into examination centers only after biometric verification, document checks, and thorough searches. A large number of candidates appeared for the exam in various districts, including Prayagraj, Hardoi, Ghazipur, and Basti. The examination commenced peacefully in several districts of UP. In Hardoi, a total of 3,792 candidates were registered to take the exam across nine centers. The administration maintained strict security, employing document verification and intensive checking procedures at all centers.

Vishwanath Mishra, an official managing the exam centers in Prayagraj, stated that candidates were being admitted in a phased manner. First, their security was checked, followed by biometric attendance recording. He emphasized that the government had specifically instructed that no candidate should bring electronic items into the examination hall.

A candidate from Prayagraj remarked that the verification process was being conducted in an organized manner. The government’s aim is to conduct the examination fairly and smoothly, hence no electronic items, including digital watches, were allowed inside. Another candidate expressed satisfaction with the facilities and noted that entry was granted only after biometric verification.

A candidate from Mirzapur mentioned that students come fully prepared for the exam. He felt confident about his preparation but acknowledged that the results would ultimately determine success. Another candidate echoed this sentiment, stating that while preparation was complete, the final decision would come after the results.

In Ghazipur, the Lekhpal recruitment exam was held at 21 centers, with approximately 8,700 candidates participating. Here too, candidates were allowed entry only after their admit cards were checked and verified.

In Basti, a female candidate shared that she arrived with her father to take the exam. Despite the intense heat, she faced no difficulties reaching the center, which is located on the main road. She also reported being satisfied with her preparation.
