Mumbai, March 27: Akasa Air has issued a significant travel advisory for passengers following a review of the escalating tensions and security situation in the Middle East. The airline announced changes to some flights and the suspension of others via its official ‘X’ handle on Friday.

According to Akasa Air, flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Ahmedabad, and Chennai will operate as scheduled on March 28, 2026. Flights to and from Jeddah, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi, and Kozhikode will also continue. However, all flights to and from Doha and Kuwait will remain suspended until March 31, 2026. The airline clarified that it is continuously monitoring the situation at these destinations in real-time and will make further decisions based on safety assessments.

Akasa Air has provided special relief for passengers who booked flights to Doha and Kuwait. The airline has extended its cancellation/rescheduling fee waiver policy for these destinations until March 31, 2026. Passengers can opt for a full refund, which will be returned to the original payment source within seven days. Additionally, they can reschedule their travel for a later date without any extra charges. Passengers who made bookings through travel agents or partners are advised to contact them directly.
