Kota, February 19, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – A 27-year-old youth was stabbed to death late Tuesday night in Mahaveer Nagar police station area of Kota. The incident occurred when he was standing outside a shop near his house.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Vikram Singh, a resident of Bombay Yojana area. He was attacked from behind with a knife by some youths from the same locality. After the incident, the accused fled from the spot.
Vikram was immediately rushed to New Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
His elder brother Lucky said the incident took place around 9:15 pm. Vikram was standing at a nearby shop when Ashu, Akram, Rajkumar, Golu and others allegedly surrounded him and attacked him with a knife. He sustained three to four stab injuries.
Family members said the accused were Vikram’s friends and there had been minor arguments between them earlier. They claimed that an attempt was made in the morning to resolve the dispute.
DSP Manish Sharma said that a police team reached the spot soon after receiving information. A case is being investigated and efforts are on to trace the accused.
