Udaipur | A one-day national conference on “Biotechnology and Pharmacy for Health, Environment and Industry: Emerging Research Trends” was successfully organised at Pacific College of Pharmacy, PAHER University, Udaipur. The event was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Rajasthan.
The conference took place under the guidance of the institution’s patrons — Rahul Agrawal, Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Prof. Hemant Kothari, Sharad Kothari, Prof. P.K. Choudhary, Dr. Ashok Dashora and Dr. Gunjan Jadon.
The organising team included Convener Prof. P.K. Choudhary, Co-convener Dr. Ashok Dashora, Organising Secretary Dr. Gunjan Jadon, and Joint Organising Secretaries Dr. Avadh Kishore, Dr. Jayesh Dwivedi and Dr. Deepak Sharma, along with DST Regional Office Udaipur Project Officer Manish Jain.
As keynote speakers, Ranjeet Barshikar delivered a lecture on quality-by-design and global standards in drug manufacturing, Dr. Amreesh Chandra spoke on intellectual property and innovation management, while Prof. (Dr.) Namita Arora highlighted emerging research directions in pharmacy. The programme was hosted by Dr. Prachi Vyas and Dr. Shweta Jain.
In the poster competition, the first prize went to Razwan Ahmed, second to Priyanshi Jain, third to Paramveer Singh, while consolation prizes were awarded to Mehak Kharol, Aditi Rao, Fatima and Chandra Prakash Joshi.
The conference recorded participation from 500 registered delegates, coordinated by Mr. Anurakman Singh. The collaborative support of all teaching and non-teaching staff of Pacific College of Pharmacy contributed to the successful completion of the event.
