ACB Arrests Gram Panchayat Administrator in Pali for Accepting ₹1.5 Lakh Bribe | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran) – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Rajasthan, has arrested Arun Kumar, Administrator of Gram Panchayat Jaitpura, under Januda Panchayat Samiti in Marwar Junction, Pali district, for accepting a bribe of ₹1.5 lakh as the first instalment of a ₹2.7 lakh demand.

According to ACB Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava, the ACB Pali-II unit received a complaint alleging that Arun Kumar had demanded ₹2,70,000 from the complainant in exchange for issuing a residential house lease (patta). Acting on the complaint, the ACB team verified the demand under the supervision of DIG Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, ACB Range Jodhpur.

Following confirmation, a trap was laid on September 28, 2025, by ACB Pali-II in the presence of Additional Superintendent of Police Khiv Singh. Arun Kumar was caught red-handed while accepting ₹1,50,000, which included ₹1 lakh in genuine currency notes and ₹50,000 in dummy notes.

The accused has been taken into custody, and further interrogation and legal proceedings are underway under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The investigation is being supervised by DIG Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, ACB Jodhpur Range.
