Cinephiles in Hyderabad who love to watch a wide range of films, ranging from world cinema to Indian titles, can look forward to the Red Lorry Film Festival: Parallel Verse, to be held at Prasads Multiplex from March 21 to 23.

The festival will screen a selection of Telugu films, from classics of the 1950s to a few recent films. Mayabazar (1957), Pushpaka Vimana (1987),  Aditya 369 (1991), Kshana Kshanam (1991), Happy Days (2007) and Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017) are among the films that will be showcased.

“Movie enthusiasts will be treated to an array of global and Indian films, with a special spotlight on the vibrant world of Telugu cinema, offering everything from beloved classics that defined generations to cutting-edge contemporary masterpieces that push the boundaries of filmmaking,” according to a statement from the festival organisers.

Besides the film screenings, the festival will feature masterclasses and panel discussions with filmmakers and industry veterans who are expected to offer insights into their craft and discuss the evolution of Indian cinema.

The second edition of the film festival is organised by BookAChange, by BookMyShow Foundation. Passes at ₹750, available on BookMyShow.
