It was yet another good week for Chhaava as over Rs. 40 crores came in. The weekend was as it is quite good, especially on Saturday when a double digit score was hit. However, what further mattered was how would weekdays turn out to be since this is fourth week running and hence it still needed some steam to keep the momentum on.
Thankfully for the film, the collections stayed over Rs. 3.50 crores right through the weekdays and even on Thursday, Rs. 3.80 crores were scored. In fact, it was expected that the collections would be better than Wednesday numbers of Rs. 3.93 crores since today is Holi, and hence evening and night shows were expected to be better. Surprisingly, this wasn’t the case and the there was a slight dip in numbers.
Nonetheless, the collections will be good today as well despite the fact that theatres will open only in the evening due to festivities. Still, at least Rs. 3 crores will come in and that would be good too. So far, the Vicky Kaushal starrer has collected Rs. 540.38 crores and this weekend Rs. 550 crores milestone will also be crossed. Rs. 575 crores is still in sight for the film before it makes way for Sikandar to take over at the close of month.
