Acclaimed filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has finally broken her silence on the much-anticipated biopic of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and his wife, philanthropist-author Sudha Murthy. The project, which has been in development for over four years, has faced repeated delays, leaving fans and industry insiders speculating about its fate.

“I’m directing a couple of films,” the filmmaker told News18. Though she remained tight-lipped, Ashwiny further added, “We’re still writing that. It’s taking far too long but I would love to tell their story.”
Speaking of her other projects, she shared, “I’m producing a few films. We now have a tie-up with Tips. Ramesh (Taurani) ji’s daughter Jaya was the one who wanted me to partner with them. I got so many calls as this association came as a surprise since such partnerships usually happen between two men in positions of power. But this is how change happens. This is the kind of association that will allow us to tell more stories for and by women.”
Earlier, in a chat with PTI, Iyer had said that getting familiar with the story of the Murthy’s has left a deep impact on her personally. “Working on the life story of Mr Narayan Murthy and Mrs Sudha Murthy has been a learning for life. Their story also makes you think about your priorities and what’s your purpose in life apart from the work you do. It’s not a movie, It’s a life experience and I know deep in my heart this will be my most challenging and cherished film for life.”
