Ambani Unveils ₹10 Lakh Crore AI Push | Udaipur Kiran

New Delhi, February 19, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – Industrialist Mukesh Ambani on Wednesday announced that artificial intelligence will be made as affordable and accessible as data services were during the telecom revolution. Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit, he said that just as Jio made data inexpensive across the country, AI will now be delivered to every Indian at affordable rates.

He asserted that “India cannot rent intelligence” and said Jio will connect the nation to the “Intelligence Era” after the Internet era.

Ambani said Reliance Industries and Jio will invest ₹10 lakh crore over the next seven years to build a strong AI ecosystem in the country. The investment aims to establish robust AI infrastructure and ensure long-term economic strength for decades to come.

As part of this vision, the company is developing a multi-gigawatt AI-ready data centre park in Jamnagar in phases. By the end of 2026, it plans to operationalise 120 megawatts of capacity, which will later be scaled up to gigawatt levels. The entire infrastructure will run on green energy. Through its network, Jio will provide computing capacity nationwide to enable AI services to reach people, shops, schools, hospitals and farms at lower costs and faster speeds.

Ambani emphasised that Jio AI will function in Indian languages so that farmers, youth, students and small entrepreneurs can benefit in their own language. In this direction, platforms such as Jio Shiksha AI for education, Jio Arogya AI for healthcare, Jio Krishi for agriculture and Jio Bharat IQ for general use were introduced to provide AI-powered assistance in local languages.

Addressing concerns around artificial intelligence, Ambani said AI is a force that enables every device to work faster, better and smarter. He described AI as a modern “Akshaya Patra” capable of providing limitless nourishment. He maintained that AI will not take away jobs but will instead create new opportunities in higher-skilled areas.

At the beginning of his address, Ambani praised the vision of Narendra Modi, stating that AI-driven development will accelerate the national goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. He added that this initiative could serve as a model not only for India but also for countries in the Global South.
