
Jodhpur (Udaipur Kiran News): The regular operations of the new Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express commenced on Saturday, offering faster and more comfortable travel for passengers. The semi high-speed train will run six days a week, except Tuesdays.
According to Anurag Tripathi, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), North Western Railway, Jodhpur, Train No. 26481 Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will depart from Jodhpur at 5:25 AM and reach Delhi Cantt at 1:30 PM. In the return direction, Train No. 26482 Delhi Cantt–Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express will leave Delhi Cantt at 3:10 PM and arrive at Jodhpur at 11:20 PM the same day.
Senior DCM Vikas Khera informed that the train will halt at Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Gurugram stations. The train comprises seven AC chair car coaches and one executive AC chair car coach, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers.
The new service is expected to significantly benefit passengers traveling for tourism, business, education, employment, and pilgrimage. It will connect major destinations such as Jodhpur’s heritage sites, Meera Bai Temple in Merta, Makrana’s marble industry, Sambhar’s salt industries, Jaipur’s tourism and education hubs, Sariska sanctuary near Alwar, and employment centers in Gurugram and Delhi.
The introduction of this Vande Bharat Express will not only strengthen trade and social ties between Rajasthan and Delhi NCR but also create new employment opportunities and enhance regional connectivity.
