
Jaipur, 14 November (Udaipur Kiran). The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Dr. Budharaj Bishnoi, Medical Officer at the Government Trauma Centre, Bilada (Jodhpur), after he was allegedly caught red-handed accepting a bribe of ₹3,70,000.
ACB Director General Govind Gupta said the Jodhpur City Unit received a complaint alleging that Dr. Bishnoi demanded ₹3 lakh for appointing the complainant’s brother as a pharmacist and an additional ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh for appointing a friend as a sanitation worker. The bribe was reportedly being sought on behalf of Dr. Mohandan Detha, CMHO Jodhpur Rural.
Acting on the complaint, a trap was laid under the supervision of Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, DIG, ACB Jodhpur. The operation was led by Chakravarti Singh Rathore, Additional SP, ACB Jodhpur City, along with the team. During the trap, Dr. Bishnoi was caught accepting ₹3,70,000 as bribe.
Under the supervision of Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General, ACB, further questioning and formal procedures are underway. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered, and investigation into the role of other suspected individuals is in progress.
