Honda to Launch New City Facelift, ZR-V Tomorrow | Udaipur Kiran

Udaipur, May 21 (Udaipur Kiran) — Honda Cars India is set to announce the prices of two new models on May 22, including the updated City facelift sedan and the all-new ZR-V SUV.

The launch of the ZR-V is considered significant as it will become the brand’s flagship model in the Indian market.

The facelifted Honda City has already started arriving at dealerships, revealing several updates in design and features. The sedan gets redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new grille, updated LED DRLs, LED light bar at the front, new dual-tone alloy wheels, revised rear diffuser, clear-lens LED tail lamps and a refreshed boot lid design.

Inside the cabin, the updated City is expected to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, revised AC controls, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera system.

The new City was recently spotted alongside rivals like the Volkswagen Virtus and is also expected to compete with the Hyundai Verna in the segment.

Honda is likely to continue offering the 1.5-litre VTEC petrol engine with both 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. The engine is expected to deliver 119 bhp power and 145 Nm torque, similar to the current version.

Meanwhile, the all-new Honda ZR-V is expected to come with a 2.0-litre petrol hybrid powertrain producing around 180 bhp and 240 Nm torque, paired with a CVT transmission.

The SUV is expected to rival select variants of the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line and Skoda Kodiaq. Key expected features include a free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, electric sunroof, fully LED lighting setup, digital instrument cluster, wireless charger and large alloy wheels.

Following these launches, Honda may introduce the new Zero Alpha electric SUV for the Indian market in the future.
