Udaipur, May 21: New allegations have surfaced in the bribery case involving suspended ASI Sunil Vishnoi of Pratapnagar police station, who was recently arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh.

According to information emerging during the investigation, the complainant has alleged that Vishnoi pressured him for money and physically assaulted him. The youth was allegedly slapped and beaten with a belt after being forced to arrange the bribe amount.

Sources claim that when the complainant expressed helplessness, the ASI allegedly handed him over to two constables to negotiate the payment. The constables reportedly took the youth to the police station garden area, where discussions over the cash amount continued.

The complainant allegedly tried to arrange money through online transfers from relatives, but the accused policemen reportedly insisted on cash payment. He was later allowed to leave after assuring them that he would bring the money the next day.

The ACB has already sent Sunil Vishnoi to judicial custody and is now examining records related to the case. Officials are also probing whether more people were involved in the alleged bribery network.

As per sources, on the day of the trap, Vishnoi was reportedly present at Orbit Resort during a religious gathering. When the complainant contacted him regarding the ₹1 lakh payment, he was allegedly called to the resort parking area.

The ACB team, led by Additional SP Anant Kumar, caught Vishnoi as soon as he allegedly accepted the money. Officials say that after spotting the ACB team, the accused allegedly pushed the complainant to the ground and tried to escape, but was caught immediately.
