RCB Tops IPL 2026 Standings After Victory Over CSK

New Delhi, April 6: In a thrilling encounter at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a 43-run victory against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 11th match of IPL 2026. This win propelled RCB to the top of the points table.

Currently, RCB leads with two wins from two matches. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) follow in second place, also with two wins from two matches, while the Delhi Capitals hold the third spot with two victories. The Punjab Kings round out the top four, having won both of their matches as well.

In the fifth position are the Sunrisers Hyderabad, with one win from three matches, followed by the Mumbai Indians in sixth place, also with one win from two matches. The Lucknow Super Giants are in seventh place, having won one out of two matches. The Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders are at the eighth and ninth positions, respectively, both having lost their first two matches. The Chennai Super Kings sit at the bottom of the table, having lost all three of their matches.

The rankings are determined by the teams’ net run rates despite having the same points.

Looking at the top five run-scorers, Samir Rizvi from the Delhi Capitals leads with 160 runs from two matches, earning him the Orange Cap. He is followed by Heinrich Klaasen from the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who has scored 145 runs in three matches. Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma is in third place with 113 runs from two matches. RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal and Punjab Kings’ Cooper Conolly round out the top five, with 111 and 108 runs, respectively.

In the bowling department, Ravi Bishnoi from the Rajasthan Royals, Vijay Kumar Vaishak from the Punjab Kings, Jacob Duffy from RCB, and Anshul Kamboj from CSK have all taken five wickets in two or three matches, placing them in the top four. Bishnoi leads the pack with the best economy rate, earning him the Purple Cap.
