The USA also gave a tough fight to Pakistan, and had their batsmen performed better, they might have advanced to the next round.
A match between Afghanistan and South Africa has etched itself in the history of the T20 World Cup, requiring two super overs for the Proteas to defeat Afghanistan. While Afghanistan’s batsmen performed well, their bowlers did not live up to expectations this time.
Nepal made a memorable start to the tournament with a strong performance against England, establishing their presence in world cricket. Had they managed to defeat England, their confidence could have propelled them to further success in the tournament.
