Major Transfer of 14 IPS Officers in Madhya Pradesh Police

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Police department has witnessed a significant reshuffle with the transfer of 14 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Among the key changes, Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Bhopal, replacing Harinarayan Chari Mishra.

According to the order issued by the Secretary of the Home Department, Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, the Special Director General of Police (Anti-Naxal Operations), has been assigned the role of Special Director General of Police of CID. Anant Kumar Singh, returning from central deputation, has been appointed as Special Director General of Police and will also hold the position of Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation.

K P Venkateshwar Rao, the Additional Director General of Police for Narcotics, has been given the responsibility of Technical Services. Due to these changes, Umesh Yogi, Additional Director General of Police of the Ujjain zone, has been assigned the role of Transport Commissioner. Additionally, D Srinivas Verma will now serve as Additional Director General of Police for Narcotics, while Vivek Sharma, Transport Commissioner, has been posted to PTRI Police Headquarters.

Additional Director General of Police Anshuman Yadav has been appointed Director of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Rakesh Gupta, Director of Sports and Yoga Welfare, has been given the charge of Additional Director General of Police of the Ujjain zone. As per the orders, Abhay Singh, Inspector General of Police of Bhopal (Rural) zone, will now become Inspector General of Police for Planning.

Harinarayan Chari Mishra, former Police Commissioner of Bhopal, has been appointed Inspector General of Police at SCRB. Sanjay Kumar, Inspector General of Police of Balaghat zone, is now the Police Commissioner of Bhopal. Sanjay Tiwari, Inspector General of Police (Planning), has been assigned as Inspector General of Police of Bhopal (Rural) zone. Chaitra N will serve as Inspector General of Police for the Shahdol zone, while Lalit Sakwar, Inspector General of Police for Complaints and Human Rights Commission, will now be the Inspector General of Police for Balaghat zone.
