The Bangladesh Cricket Board has written to the ICC to refer their matter to the ICC’s Dispute Resolution Committee, as they remain adamant on not travelling to India for the T20 World Cup. India Today has learnt that the ICC will go through the legalities to ensure whether BCB’s demand merits an appeal before the Dispute Resolution Committee and will soon take a final call.
The ICC board has already voted against any change to the original schedule of the T20 World Cup. Sources say the cricket governing body is unlikely to make any changes to the existing schedule and Scotland should replace Bangladesh in the tournament.
ICC chairman Jay Shah is in Dubai and a final decision on Bangladesh’s participation in the T20 World Cup is expected this evening.
