
Udaipur, October 14 (Udaipur Kiran): Professor B.P. Saraswat, who previously served as the Vice-Chancellor of Kota University, formally assumed charge as the new Vice-Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) on Tuesday evening.
According to university spokesperson Dr. Kunjun Acharya, Prof. Saraswat arrived in Udaipur late in the evening and took charge through a traditional Vedic ceremony. The charge was formally handed over by MPUAT Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Karnataka.
The occasion was attended by Prof. B.L. Verma (Vice-Chancellor, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University), Prof. I.V. Trivedi and Prof. Umashankar Sharma, both former Vice-Chancellors of MLSU.
Senior university officials, including Registrar Dr. B.C. Garg, Prof. Shurveer Singh Bhanawat (Dean, Commerce College), Prof. Madan Singh Rathore (Dean, Arts College), Prof. Anil Kothari (Principal, Guru Nanak Girls College), Prof. Meera Mathur (Director, FMS), and Deputy Registrar Mukesh Barber, felicitated Prof. Saraswat with floral garlands and extended a warm welcome.
A large number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students gathered to greet the new Vice-Chancellor. The atmosphere at the university was filled with enthusiasm as students welcomed Prof. Saraswat with cheers and applause.
