(Udaipur Kiran News): OnePlus has officially confirmed the global launch of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15, which is set to debut in October in China. Alongside the flagship, the brand will also unveil the OnePlus Ace 6, a sub-flagship smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Globally, OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus 15 “Sand Storm” edition, a new colour variant inspired by desert landscapes. This variant debuts aerospace-grade Micro-Arc Oxidation technology, which forms a ceramic layer on the middle frame and camera module through a high-voltage plasma process.
According to the company, the ceramic coating is 3.4 times stronger than aluminium and 1.3 times tougher than titanium, offering improved durability while maintaining environmental sustainability.
The Sand Storm edition also features a feather-light fibreglass back, combining a cool ceramic feel with a smooth grip for a premium in-hand experience. The design aims to balance strength, comfort, and style.
Performance and Hardware
The OnePlus 15 will be among the first smartphones globally to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor. It will also include an upgraded cooling system to maintain performance during intensive tasks and gaming sessions.
While OnePlus has yet to reveal full camera specifications, the company’s China division has shared camera samples showcasing its DetailMax Engine. Rumours suggest the device will sport a 50MP main camera with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom.
Expected Variants
Speculations indicate that a modified version of the OnePlus Ace 6 may launch in India as the OnePlus 15R, though the company has not officially confirmed this variant yet.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to deliver a blend of cutting-edge performance, innovative materials, and premium design, setting a new benchmark for the brand’s flagship lineup.
