Grand Kabaddi Tournament Organised at Pacific University Inter-College Competition | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, September 24 (Udaipur Kiran News): A grand kabaddi tournament was held under the Inter-College Competition of Pacific University, hosted by the Faculty of Engineering. A total of eight teams participated, showcasing remarkable sporting talent.

The event began with an inspiring address by Pacific University President, Prof. Hemant Kothari, who emphasised that sports are an integral part of life. “Sports not only keep us physically fit but also develop team spirit, discipline, and leadership skills,” he said, encouraging students to actively participate alongside academics.

Prof. Dilendra Heeren, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, highlighted the importance of mental focus and strategy in winning games. He told the students, “It is not necessary to win every match, but it is important to learn something from every match. Do not take defeat as disappointment, but as motivation for future efforts.”

The event was graced by Dr. Hemant Pandya, Principal of Pacific College of Physical Education, Prof. T.P. Ameta, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Akshat Singh Jhala, Coordinator of the Faculty of Engineering, and Jitendra Singh Chundawat, Vice Principal of the Pacific College of Physical Education, as special guests.

The programme was successfully conducted by Chandresh Soni and Rohit Dave, who also played a key role in managing the tournament and instilling enthusiasm among students.

Winners of the Tournament:

  • First Place: Polytechnic College

  • Runner-Up: Pharmacy College

  • Best Player: Sanjay Ahir (Faculty of Engineering)

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Kapilesh Tiwari, Principal of Pacific College of Teacher Education, who presented awards to the winners.

The tournament witnessed high energy, sportsmanship, and outstanding performances from all teams, leaving students motivated and inspired.
