
Banswara, September 23 (Udaipur Kiran): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Project on September 25 in Napla village, Banswara district. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation of development projects worth ₹1.22 lakh crore.
Historic Energy Project
The Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Project will involve an estimated investment of ₹42,000 crore. The project will include four state-of-the-art units of 700 MW each, with a total capacity of 2,800 MW. It is designed to produce clean energy without greenhouse gas emissions.
Officials said the project will not only strengthen the rural economy but also boost self-reliance across the tribal belt of southern Rajasthan.
Development Projects Worth ₹1.22 Lakh Crore
Of the total investment, more than ₹1.08 lakh crore will be dedicated to Rajasthan, while the state government will implement 48 development works worth ₹30,000 crore.
During the event, Prime Minister Modi will also hand over appointment letters to 15,000 youth for government jobs.
Preparations in Full Swing
Ahead of the visit, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reviewed the preparations at Napla village on Saturday. He inspected the main stage, seating arrangements, parking, and helipad facilities. The Chief Minister also reviewed security measures and directed officials to ensure smooth coordination among departments for the successful conduct of the programme.
