Udaipur, 15 September (Patrika English News): Engineers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Faculty of Engineering, Pacific University, Udaipur. The event began with an inspiring address by University President Prof. Hemant Kothari, who described engineers as the foundation of societal development. He urged students to combine technical knowledge with ethics and responsibility, adding that innovation and sustainable development will define the future of engineering.
Prof. Dilendra Heeran, Dean of Science and Technology, highlighted government initiatives such as Make in India and Digital India, encouraging students to explore opportunities in startups, research, and new technologies.
As the chief guest, Engineer Anirudh Kothari, Director of Auto 360 Udaipur, spoke about Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, recalling his contributions to engineering and inspiring students to emulate his creativity and dedication. He stressed the importance of focusing on new technologies, automation, and skill development.
The celebrations also featured a poster-making competition and a debate competition. In debate, Ronak Ameta secured first place, followed by Nakul Jain and Naman. In poster-making, Namrata and Priyanka shared the first prize, Palak won second, while Shaheen Khan and Moli Jain shared third place.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Naresh Menaria, with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Akshat Singh Jhala, Coordinator, Faculty of Engineering. Students participated enthusiastically, making the celebration vibrant and successful.
