Veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu and his daughter, singer Shannon K, have released a new song titled ‘Papa’ to mark Father’s Day. The duet, featuring lyrics by renowned lyricist Sameer Anjaan and music composed by Raja Ali, is now available on YouTube.

Speaking about the song, Kumar Sanu shared, “I’m really happy to sing this song for Father’s Day. It’s for all the fathers. Sameer da wrote sweet lyrics, Raja Ali created sweet melody and Shannon sang it beautifully. Hope people like the simplicity and emotions of the song.”

This collaboration follows their earlier release 9 to 5, a Hindi-English single that had gained attention for its fusion of pop and Bollywood elements. While that song was more upbeat in tone, ‘Papa’ takes a more emotional route, underlining the sentimental side of their musical synergy.

Shannon K, who is steadily building her international presence, added, “First of all Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there and this song is tribute to all of them.
