After going past Rs. 5 crores mark on Tuesday with reduced ticket prices enhancing footfalls, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh settled down on Wednesday with Rs. 3.78 crores being collected. On Friday the film had opened at Rs. 7.84 crores with a fair value score of around Rs. 5.50 crores if one disregards the Good Friday partial holiday. Considering that this is a decent enough hold so far.

Today the film will be stable and stay over Rs. 3 crores mark again and tomorrow should be the same as well. However, it would be the jump on Saturday and Sunday that would be of utmost importance. Last weekend, the film had grown quite well on Saturday and since the Akshay Kumar led film has seen quite some positive reviews and word of mouth coming its way, it’s pretty much on the cards that the story will repeat itself in the second weekend as well.

The film has now also crossed the Rs. 40 crores mark and currently stands at Rs. 42.94 crores. It’s now assured of first weekend collections of over Rs. 45 crores and while 75-80 crores lifetime is there for the taking, anything more than that would be keenly looked forward to.
