Actor Chunky Panday made a lively guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Celebrity MasterChef on Sony Entertainment Television, where he not only entertained contestants and judges with his trademark humour but also shared that he is preparing to open his own restaurant.

The episode, set to air later this week, featured a high-stakes triple-challenge format designed to push the celebrity contestants to their limits. In the first challenge, the pantry opened every five minutes—but with a twist. Each contestant could choose ingredients from only one pantry session and could not return for more. The second round brought a head-to-head battle between contestants and professional chefs. The final round required the preparation of eight dishes—five by the celebrity chefs and three by guest chefs. Rankings were based solely on taste. If a guest chef’s dish ranked first, one contestant would face elimination.
Joining in on the fun, Chunky Panday appeared as a guest and brought his signature charm to the kitchen. With jokes, banter, and plenty of improvisation, he lightened the atmosphere as contestants tackled one challenge after another. At one point, he even jokingly wandered into the MasterChef pantry, pretending to steal utensils and ingredients, claiming it was for his upcoming eatery.
In one memorable moment, Panday sneaked over to Faisal Shaikh’s cooking station while the latter was busy with his dish. Panday said, “Aaj kal main ladka dhund raha hu (These days I’m looking for a boy),” which shocked judge Farah Khan. He quickly added, “Not for Ananya, mere restaurant ke liye (Not for Ananya, for my restaurant).” The light-hearted exchange drew laughter from the judges and contestants alike.
Though he didn’t reveal much about the restaurant, Panday’s comments have sparked curiosity about his plans to step into the culinary business. His presence on the show added a humorous edge to an otherwise intense episode.
Celebrity MasterChef continues to mix food and entertainment in equal measure. The episode featuring Chunky Panday will air soon whereas the cooking reality show entertains viewers from Monday to Friday at 8 PM on Sony Entertainment Television. It is also available to stream on Sony LIV.
