Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, directed by filmmaker Anil Ravipudi, went on floors today, March 30, with a pooja ceremony. Tentatively called Mega 157, the film was launched by superstar Venkatesh Daggubati today on the occasion of Ugadi.

Shine Screens, one of the banners backing the film, shared pictures from the pooja ceremony to announce the news. The event was attended by the likes of Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Naga Vamsi.

Details regarding the film’s plot and cast remain unknown, but reports have suggested that Aditi Rao Hydari or Parineeti Chopra might play the female lead.

Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela produce the film under their Shine Screens and Goldbox Entertainments banners.

Anil and Venkatesh collaborated on the recent Sankranti blockbuster, Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Last seen in 2023’s Bhola Shankar, Chiranjeevi is awaiting the release of Vishwambhara.
