Filmmaker Julee Jasmin’s DAAL ROTI aims to motivate youngsters to get into farming. The film follows the story of a group of youngsters (played by Dishant Gulliya, Rupali Thapa, Kaustubh Dabral and others), who migrate to an urban city from their native villages for better job opportunities by selling their… lands. However, after migrating to the city, they find out that life is very harsh over there. They also realize that farming itself is a good enough option to earn money and support their families and that they committed a mistake by sacrificing their land. The film also highlights the beneficial schemes introduced by the government for the betterment of farmers.
