New Delhi, June 6: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has issued an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for a total of 716 Group-B (Non-Gazetted) and Group-C positions under the Joint Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2026.
The vacancies include 15 Laboratory Assistants, 3 Stenographers, 440 Lower Division Clerks, 1 Mechanical Foreman, 36 Foresters, 36 Stenographers (OG), 3 Veterinary Compounders, 8 Patwaris, 4 Soil Conservation Field Assistants, 13 Agricultural Field Assistants, 2 Warehouse Keepers, 2 Fishery Sub-Inspectors, 1 Plaster Room Technician, 1 Typist, 2 Sales Assistants, 28 Village Level Workers, 4 Village Sevikas, 26 First Class Masters, 11 Chief Engine Drivers (SG), 13 Second Class Masters, 11 Marine Radio Operators, 7 Tally Clerks, 1 Storekeeper (Dockyard), 1 Sales Girl, 8 Depot Clerks, 3 Storekeepers, 1 Weaving Instructor, 3 Typist-cum-Clerks, 7 IT Analysts, 23 Tally Clerks, 1 Field Assistant, and 1 Computer Assistant Grade-A.
The online application process will commence at 12 PM on June 15 and will close on July 5. Interested candidates can submit their registration forms on the official portal of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration once the application link is activated.
Candidates must have completed their 12th grade from a recognized institution/board relevant to the respective positions. Additionally, candidates must meet other eligibility criteria and skills as specified for each post.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, while the maximum age varies between 30 to 38 years depending on the position and group. Age calculations will be based on the final date of application, with relaxation provided for candidates from reserved categories.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on academic qualifications, shortlisting, tablet-based tests (TBT), physical standard tests, endurance/skill/trade tests, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive salaries ranging from Level-2 to Level-6 of the 7th CPC pay scale, depending on the position.
Applicants are required to pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹100 for male candidates from General/OBC/EWS categories. Women, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempt from the registration fee.
