Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s season may have come to an end with Rajasthan Royals’ loss to Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2, but the young prodigy was spotted in Ahmedabad to enjoy the IPL 2026 final. Sooryavanshi was spotted alongside ICC chairman Jay Shah and other dignitaries in the stands during the RCB vs GT clash at the Narendra Modi stadium.
Fans also quickly noticed that the RR opener was sporting a new hairstyle for the occasion. Sooryavanshi traded his long hair for a faded look as he was seen in conversation with the ICC chairman in the stands.
Sooryavanshi’s new hairstyle got Netflix India excited as they compared him to the legendary Peaky Blinders character Tommy Shelby.
WHY IS SOORYAVANSHI AT IPL 2026 FINAL?
Sooryavanshi has arrived in Ahmedabad for the final to collect a host of awards. He became the youngest Orange Cap winner in the history of the tournament, scoring 776 runs from 16 matches.
He did face some competition from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, but both men failed against RCB. With the target for RCB being 156, it also closed the mathematical chance for Kohli to catch up to him.
Apart from this, Sooryavanshi will also win the award for the highest number of sixes for the season, having hit 72 maximums during the season.
He is also in the running to be the Most Valuable Player Of The Season as he has 436.5 points at the moment but faces competition from Kagiso Rabada.
He could also end up with the Emerging Player Of The Year this season after having a sensational campaign.
Following the end of the IPL season, Sooryavanshi will report to duty for India A, who will travel to Sri Lanka for a tri-series, which will begin on June 6 and go on until 19.
