
Udaipur, May 31 (Udaipur Kiran) – As part of the Rajasthan Government’s ambitious “Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan 2026”, a grand cycle rally was organised on Sunday at Fateh Sagar to create awareness about water conservation.
The rally was jointly organised by the District Administration and Regional Sports Centre, Udaipur. A large number of youths, sportspersons, coaches, sports officials and citizens participated enthusiastically in the event. Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena and District Council Chief Executive Officer Virma Ram attended the programme as chief guests.
District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal welcomed the guests and provided details about the event. The guests administered a pledge for water conservation and flagged off the rally.
Addressing the participants, MLA Phool Singh Meena said that water is the foundation of life and public participation is essential for the conservation and development of water resources. He urged the youth to remain aware of water conservation and environmental protection and spread a positive message in society.
District Council CEO Virma Ram said that the “Vande Ganga” campaign is not merely a programme but a commitment towards securing the future of coming generations. He said natural resources can be protected only when water conservation becomes a people’s movement.
Participants Take Pledge to Save Water
During the rally, participants raised slogans such as “Water Today, Future Tomorrow”, “Save Water, Save Life”, “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, creating an atmosphere of patriotism and public awareness across the Fateh Sagar area.
The rally played an effective role in connecting citizens with the importance of water conservation. The programme was coordinated and conducted by Ranveer Singh Ranawat.
During the event, guests, participants and citizens also pledged to work continuously for the cleanliness and conservation of water sources. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed commitment to organise similar initiatives to strengthen public awareness about water conservation.
