BJP Leaders Urge Public to Reduce Petrol and Diesel Usage

New Delhi, May 14: Amid escalating tensions and a state of war in the Gulf region, an energy crisis is deepening. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has made a voluntary appeal to the public to reduce their consumption of petrol and diesel.

Speaking to reporters in Bikaner, Minister Meghwal stated, “Due to the rising international tensions linked to the Gulf conflict, there is a need to decrease the consumption of petrol and diesel. This is a voluntary appeal from the public and also from the Prime Minister. I urge all citizens to try to minimize the use of petrol and diesel as long as this crisis persists, so that we can better manage the situation arising from international tensions.”

BJP Bihar State President Sanjay Sarawagi praised the Prime Minister’s decision to limit his convoy to just two vehicles. He remarked, “Crude oil prices are rising, and in several countries, the prices of diesel and petrol have surged by 400 to 500 percent. Our Prime Minister has always acted in the national interest. To avoid imposing any additional burden on the people, he has reduced excise duty.”

He added that the Prime Minister has appealed to the public to reduce their use of diesel and petrol and has urged governments to do the same. “Yesterday, we saw the Prime Minister traveling with only a two-vehicle convoy,” Sarawagi noted.

Emphasizing the promotion of electric vehicles, he mentioned that the government has approved an EV policy in the Cabinet aimed at encouraging the public to shift towards electric vehicles. He stated that during this time of war, the Prime Minister is visiting the UAE to discuss crucial issues, including energy security. “Whenever the Prime Minister travels abroad, the national interest is paramount,” he said.

On the NEET UG issue, Sanjay Sarawagi targeted the opposition, stating, “The central government has cancelled the NEET exam and handed the investigation to the CBI. The CBI is now taking action in this matter. The opposition only creates a ruckus over such issues. When the paper was leaked, these same people were demanding action. Now that action is being taken, they are still protesting. This is a matter concerning the future of our children.”

Bihar government minister Ram Kripal Yadav confirmed that five individuals involved in NEET irregularities have been arrested and strict action is being taken against them. The government will ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
