Rain Brings Relief Across Udaipur Division | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, May 7 (Udaipur Kiran): Several parts of Rajasthan, including the Udaipur division, received light to moderate rainfall along with strong winds during the last 24 hours, bringing relief from intense heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, Udaipur city recorded 8 mm rainfall, while Sayra in Udaipur district received the highest rainfall of 32 mm, nearly one-and-a-half inches. Kotra and Gogunda recorded 16 mm rainfall each, close to three-fourth inch.

The change in weather and strong winds led to a drop in temperatures in Udaipur and several other cities of the state, providing relief to residents from severe summer conditions.

Rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours included Kotra 16 mm, Gogunda 16 mm, Jhadol 9 mm, Dabok 10 mm, Vallabhnagar 2 mm, Badgaon 5 mm, Phalasia 4 mm, Mavli 5 mm, Kherwara 5 mm, Bhadev 6 mm, Ghasa 2 mm, Kurabad 1 mm, Nayagaon 1 mm, Barapal 4 mm, Nathdwara 10 mm, Rajsamand 3 mm, Railmagra 2 mm, Kumbhalgarh 2 mm and Garhi Banswara 1 mm.

Apart from these areas, light rainfall and strong winds were also reported from several nearby regions. In Pali district, Sumerpur recorded 26 mm rainfall, while Jawai Dam received 12 mm and Bali area recorded 9 mm rainfall.
