The former Indian captain’s standout performance in the green jersey came against the now-defunct Gujarat Lions in 2016, when Kohli produced a masterclass with 109 off 55 balls. That innings powered RCB to a commanding 144-run victory at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The match is best remembered for the record-breaking 229-run partnership between Kohli and AB de Villiers, with the South African batter stealing the spotlight by scoring 129 off 52 deliveries and being named Player of the Match. Kohli also has recorded two golden ducks in the jersey in 2023 and 2024.

Against Delhi Capitals, on Saturday, he failed to make a significant mark, departing before the end of the powerplay as RCB looked to build momentum early in the innings.
