3 Killed as Trailer Hits Bike in Udaipur | Udaipur Kiran

Udaipur, March 20, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): A tragic road accident in the Sukher police station area claimed the lives of three bike riders on Sunday evening on the Udaipur–Nathdwara National Highway.

The accident occurred around 5:30 pm near a powerhouse when a speeding trailer hit the motorcycle and lost control, overturning on the road. The impact was severe, and all three riders were crushed under the trailer and died on the spot.

Police identified the deceased as Premchand (40), son of Savji Meena, Riyan Meena (9), and Mukesh (32), son of Kaduva Meena, all residents of Rava Ki Naal Barapal. They were travelling on the same motorcycle when the trailer, coming from Rajsamand towards Udaipur, hit them.

The trailer was loaded with soapstone powder, which spilled across the road after the vehicle overturned. The victims were trapped under the debris, making the incident more severe. Traffic on the highway was completely disrupted following the accident.

On receiving information, Sukher Police reached the spot, controlled the situation and cleared the road to restore traffic. The bodies were shifted to the mortuary.

Initial investigation revealed that the driver had put the trailer in neutral on a slope, leading to increased speed and loss of control. After the collision, the driver fled the scene. Police have registered a case and launched a search to arrest the absconding driver.
