Thiruvananthapuram, March 12: Monalisa, who gained viral fame for selling flower garlands at the Mahakumbh Mela, has recently made headlines again after marrying her boyfriend, Furmaan Khan. Their wedding has sparked rumors on social media, with some labeling it as “love jihad.” However, the couple has firmly denied these claims.

Monalisa and Furmaan tied the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony at the Arumanur Shri Nainar Deva Temple near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. During the ceremony, Monalisa wore a red saree, while Furmaan donned a white kurta and mundu.

In a recent conversation, the couple addressed the rumors surrounding their marriage. Monalisa stated, “What people are thinking is not true. Our wedding was conducted entirely according to Hindu traditions in a temple. Rituals were followed during our wedding. My father might be thinking something, but the rumors circulating are false. We respect all religions, and for us, all religions are the same.”

Furmaan also expressed his gratitude towards the Kerala government for their support. He mentioned, “The Kerala government supported us, and we sincerely thank them. We did not expect so many people to attend our wedding. We thought it would be a simple affair with just a few guests, but many people and ministers came to bless us. What people are saying is not true. For us, all religions are equal.”

Videos of their wedding have gone viral on social media, with users actively trolling Monalisa and Furmaan.
