Udaipur, February 24, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – Mewar Royals secured a commanding 78-run victory over Hastinapur Warriors in the fifth match of the eight-day Rockwoods Blazing Strikers Cricket Cup 2026, confirming their place in the semi-finals. The match was played at Wonder Cement Cricket Academy, Shikarbadi Cricket Ground.

Batting first, Mewar Royals delivered an impressive performance. Karan Singh remained unbeaten on 73, while Shaurya Shaktawat smashed a quick 62 off just 33 balls. Their strong partnership powered the team to a massive total of 215 for 4 in 20 overs.

In reply, Hastinapur Warriors struggled under pressure and were bowled out for 137 in 14.3 overs. Hitesh Patel led the bowling attack with five crucial wickets for 40 runs, breaking the backbone of the opposition. Mohit Jain also impressed by claiming three wickets. The victory reflected a balanced team effort, with both batting and bowling units working in perfect coordination.

At the post-match presentation ceremony, Hitesh Patel was awarded Player of the Match by former Ranji Trophy player Tariq Khan. Shaurya Shaktawat received the Super Striker of the Match award from former cricketer Anil Mathur, while Mohit Jain was honoured as Best Bowler of the Match by UDCA Vice President Mukesh Kumawat. Tournament Chairman Sunil Laddha, along with former Rajasthan Cricket Association Secretary Mahendra Sharma, presented special mementos to distinguished guests.

In the second match of the day, Najafgarh ke Sultan defeated Global Rule of Success (GROS) by five wickets in a thrilling contest. Notably, GROS had entered the match as the only unbeaten team of the tournament, but their winning streak ended against the Sultans.

Batting first, GROS captain Hardik Sharma scored the first century of the season, guiding his team to a competitive total of 180 in 20 overs. Despite the challenging target, Najafgarh ke Sultan chased it down with patience and teamwork. Sohrab Dhaliwal played a decisive unbeaten knock of 49 off 24 balls, shifting the momentum firmly in his team’s favour.

Guru Vashishtha and Prashant Chaudhary picked up three wickets each, restricting the opposition from posting a bigger total. Despite the defeat, GROS have also confirmed their place in the semi-finals of the Rockwoods Blazing Strikers Cricket Cup 2026.

Guru Vashishtha was declared Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. The award was presented by Phoolchand Ji, Committee Member of Delhi Cricket Association Leagues and Tournament Department, along with BCCI coach Narendra Chanal and former player Kailash Kevaliya.
