Devotees Start Arriving for Khatushyamji Fair | Udaipur Kiran

Jaipur, February 23, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – Devotees have started arriving for the famous Lakkhi Phalgun Fair at the world-renowned Shri Khatu Shyam Temple. In view of the large turnout, the district police administration has stepped up security arrangements as per the directions of Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma.

Sikar Superintendent of Police Praveen Nayak Noonawat took charge on the ground and conducted a detailed inspection of the fair arrangements. He reviewed preparations along with Deputy Superintendent of Police Anand Rao, Station House Officer Pawan Kumar Chaubey, Temple Committee Minister Manvendra Singh Chauhan, commando teams and police personnel.

The police team inspected major entry routes to the town, parking areas, the fair market and the main temple premises to assess ground-level arrangements. A route march was also carried out with the convoy to strengthen public confidence regarding security.

Security Finalised for Expected 35 Lakh Devotees

With an estimated footfall of nearly 35 lakh devotees in the coming days, the police administration has given final shape to security, traffic management, crowd control and smooth darshan arrangements. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) V.K. Singh has ensured deployment of adequate police force.

Special deployment has been made at sensitive locations. CCTV surveillance, regular patrolling and continuous monitoring are being carried out across the fair area to effectively handle any situation.

Round-the-Clock Vigil to Ensure Safety

Police officials said that security arrangements remain active round the clock. Continuous night patrolling, 24-hour deployment and disciplined management are in place to ensure the safety, convenience and smooth movement of devotees.

Temple Committee Minister Manvendra Singh Chauhan informed that volunteers have also been deployed and arrangements are being coordinated effectively in cooperation with the administration.
