Jaipur, February 23, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – A massive surge of faith marked the third day of the annual Phalguni Lakkhi Fair at the renowned Khatu Shyam Temple. Devotees from across the country and the state stood in disciplined queues to offer prayers to Baba Shyam amid devotional chants and bhajans, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere across Khatu Dham.
With strong security arrangements in place by Rajasthan Police, devotees are being guided smoothly along designated routes from Reengus to Khatu Dham for orderly and hassle-free darshan.
4,10,316 Devotees in Three Days
By Sunday evening, a total of 4,10,316 devotees had paid obeisance during the eight-day fair. Advanced counting cameras installed along the 75-foot route are being used for accurate estimation of footfall.
On the first day, 1,24,324 devotees visited the temple, followed by 1,97,992 on the second day and 88,000 devotees till Sunday evening on the third day. Darshan arrangements have been made through 14 queues along the 75-foot route via Reengus Road, Toran Dwar, Hospital Chauraha, Garh Dharamshala and Ramji Gate.
On Monday, Baba Shyam was adorned with an attractive decoration of pink and white flowers, further enhancing the grandeur of the temple premises. Despite long queues, enthusiasm and devotion among devotees remain high.
Multi-Layered Security by Rajasthan Police
Considering the scale of the fair, Rajasthan Police has implemented extensive and multi-layered security arrangements. Additional police force, RAC personnel and women police staff have been deployed across the fair area.
Sensitive locations are under special watch, and continuous foot patrolling is underway. Round-the-clock monitoring is being conducted through CCTV cameras and a central control room. Drone cameras are also being used to monitor crowd management.
Help desks and lost-and-found centres have been set up at various locations to assist devotees. A special traffic plan has been implemented on the Reengus-Khatu route to ensure smooth vehicular movement, and Quick Response Teams have been deployed to handle emergencies.
Police and administrative officials are regularly reviewing arrangements to ensure that devotees can have darshan in a peaceful and secure environment.
Public Outreach by Information Department
The Information and Public Relations Department, Rajasthan, is distributing pamphlets and booklets, including “Badhata Rajasthan, Hamara Rajasthan”, highlighting public welfare schemes on completion of two years of the state government.
The district and police administration have appealed to devotees to follow designated routes, maintain discipline and avoid believing in rumours. With the number of devotees rising daily, Khatu Dham continues to set an example of faith, order and security.
