‘Shaurya Sandhya’ Showcases Indian Army’s Valour at SMS Stadium | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, January 10: (Udaipur Kiran). The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur came alive with patriotism and military pride as the Indian Army organised “Shaurya Sandhya”, a grand evening celebrating the valour, traditions and operational excellence of the armed forces. The event was held under the aegis of the Sapta Shakti Command as a curtain-raiser to the upcoming Army Day celebrations.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, attended the programme as the chief guest. The audience included senior military officers, veterans, next of kin of soldiers, civil dignitaries, media representatives and members of the public, all united in admiration for the Army’s service to the nation.

The programme began with a ceremonial welcome of the Army Commander, followed by an impressive paramotor display and the release of balloons, setting a celebratory tone. A special Army Day curtain-raiser film was screened, highlighting the Indian Army’s operational preparedness, professionalism and contribution to nation-building.

Addressing the gathering, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh praised the unwavering commitment of soldiers in protecting the nation’s borders and emphasised the strong emotional bond between the Army and the citizens it serves.

The audience witnessed captivating demonstrations of India’s traditional martial arts, including Kalaripayattu and Mallakhamb, reflecting the Army’s physical strength, discipline and rich cultural heritage.

The highlight of the evening was a dramatic light and sound presentation depicting Operation Sindoor, which recreated a live battlefield scenario and drew loud applause. This was followed by a stunning drone show that lit up the Jaipur sky in patriotic colours.

Shaurya Sandhya stood as a powerful tribute to the courage, sacrifice and professionalism of the Indian Army, reinforcing its enduring values of duty, honour and service to the nation.
