Hindustan Zinc Concludes High-Impact ‘Zung Ke Khilaaf Zinc’ Campaign at IITF 2025 | Udaipur Kiran

New Delhi, November 28 (Udaipur Kiran): Hindustan Zinc Limited marked a successful conclusion to its participation at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 with its flagship public awareness campaign ‘Zung Ke Khilaaf Zinc’. The company showcased its installation at the Mining Pavilion, drawing strong engagement from visitors across all age groups.

Over one lakh visitors engaged with Hindustan Zinc’s awareness drive during the fair. The showcase focused on educating citizens about the importance of galvanization in protecting vehicles, infrastructure and everyday assets against corrosion. A vintage Priya scooter was used as the central visual element to create an emotional connect, demonstrating how galvanization protects metal from rust and enhances durability.

The galvanization display featured a scooter structure divided into two contrasting halves — one galvanized and the other non-galvanized — clearly showing zinc’s role in preventing corrosion. This visual presentation helped visitors understand the real-world impact of zinc on safety, durability and infrastructure strength.

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Farida Naik, appreciated the campaign and said that ‘Zung Ke Khilaaf Zinc’ clearly demonstrated how a technical concept can be transformed into an engaging and educational public outreach initiative.

To assess public awareness, Hindustan Zinc conducted on-ground interactions with visitors through a short quiz on corrosion and galvanization. More than 2,000 participants took part in the quiz, generating insights into public understanding of zinc’s role in protecting steel. The company’s stall recorded footfall of over one lakh people during the fair.

Hindustan Zinc CEO Arun Misra said that the objective of the campaign was to make the concept of galvanization simple, visual and relatable for the public. He said the response at IITF 2025 reinforced the need for greater public awareness on corrosion protection and galvanization in building national infrastructure and supporting the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

In addition to the galvanization awareness programme, Hindustan Zinc also showcased an RFID-enabled interactive installation on critical minerals, an AR/VR mine tour of the Rampura Agucha Mine and Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter, and a product display featuring Special High Grade Zinc, 99.997 per cent pure silver and EcoZen. The exhibit also displayed products from its social impact programmes Sakhi and Upaya, reflecting the company’s focus on community development.

Hindustan Zinc’s participation at IITF 2025 highlighted its commitment to advancing India’s Critical Mineral Mission, promoting corrosion awareness, and supporting sustainable, long-lasting infrastructure development.
