Fog and Cold Winds Grip Rajasthan, Temperature Shows Minor Fluctuations | Udaipur Kiran

Jaipur, 22 November (Udaipur Kiran)। The winter chill continues to intensify across Rajasthan as cold north-westerly winds have led to foggy conditions in many cities. Areas including Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Jaipur witnessed light fog throughout the day, which weakened sunlight and added to the cold weather discomfort.

While chilly winds and fog have made the atmosphere colder, the minimum temperature has seen a slight rise of about one degree in several cities, pushing night temperatures from single digits to double digits.

The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has forecast dry weather across the state for the next few days.

During the last 24 hours, except Mount Abu, Fatehpur remained the coldest place in the state with a minimum temperature of 6.6°C. In Nagaur, Jalore, Sirohi, Dausa, Churu and Sikar, the minimum temperature ranged between 7°C and 9°C, while most other cities recorded night temperatures above 10°C. Cities such as Karauli, Baran, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Pilani, Alwar and Bhilwara also reported a slight rise in minimum temperatures, bringing mild relief from the intense cold.

Parts of western, northern and eastern Rajasthan experienced reduced visibility due to smog. Morning fog was observed in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Churu, Nagaur, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur and Jhunjhunu, which led to weaker sunshine and persistent coolness throughout the day.

The maximum temperature also dropped marginally. Barmer was the warmest place on Friday with a high of 33.4°C. In Bikaner, Churu, Jaisalmer, Pilani, Fatehpur and Jalore, maximum temperatures remained between 28°C and 31°C, while Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer recorded around 27°C to 28°C.
