Accused Arrested in Trader Ramesh Enani Firing Case | Udaipur Kiran


Chittorgarh, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran). Police have arrested the unidentified attacker involved in the shooting incident that led to the death of trader Ramesh Enani. The accused was found in possession of the pistol and three live cartridges allegedly used in the crime.

Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi said the firing took place on Tuesday near the City Petrol Pump, where a bike-borne assailant opened fire at Enani with the intention to kill him. Enani later died during treatment at Geetanjali Hospital in Udaipur. Based on a report filed by Enani’s son, a case was registered at Kotwali Chittorgarh police station.

Under the direction of ASP Sarita Singh and the supervision of DSP Vinay Chaudhary, teams from Sadar Chittorgarh, Kotwali Chittorgarh, Cyber Cell, and DST were formed. Using human intelligence, the teams identified the attacker as Manish Kumar alias Kamal, son of Hiralal Dubey, resident of Chitaipur, Post Sundarpur, Hindu Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). He was detained with his bike on the Surajpol–Gopalnagar route.

A post-mortem was conducted following Enani’s death, and the body was handed over to the family for last rites. After interrogation, the accused Manish Kumar Dubey was produced in court and placed on police remand till 18 November. Based on information provided by him, police recovered the pistol and three live cartridges used in the incident. Investigation is ongoing.
