Haryana Hikes Dearness Allowance by 3% for Employees and Pensioners | Udaipur Kiran

Chandigarh, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran): The Haryana Government has announced a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners, bringing the total rate up from 55% to 58%. The revised rate will be effective from July 1, 2025, according to an official notification issued by the state’s Finance Department on Friday.

Under the new order, the arrears for July, August, and September will be paid along with the November salary, while the October salary will include the enhanced 3% DA. The notification further clarifies that fractions of 50 paise or more will be rounded off to the next rupee, while those below 50 paise will be ignored.

The move, approved by the Governor of Haryana, will benefit employees and pensioners drawing pay and pensions under the 7th Pay Commission. Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Anurag Rastogi issued the order, stating that the decision underscores the state government’s commitment to employee welfare.

The Finance Department has also circulated copies of the order to the Principal Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlements), the Registrar of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, and senior officials of the Chandigarh Administration, Treasury, and Accounts Departments. The directive instructs the State Informatics Officer (SIO) and the Finance Department’s Computer Cell to upload the notification on the official website.

The announcement has been met with appreciation from both employees and pensioners. A senior employee remarked, “At a time when inflation continues to rise, this DA hike brings real relief to us. It’s a commendable move by the government.” Pensioners, too, have welcomed the decision, calling it “timely and much-needed.”
