Jaipur, October 16 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Pratapgarh, has achieved a major breakthrough in its ongoing investigation into a corruption case involving Rajiv Garg, General Manager and Joint Commissioner in the Department of Industries and Commerce.
Rajiv Garg was caught red-handed last year by the ACB Pratapgarh team while accepting a bribe of ₹3 lakh. As part of the ongoing probe into disproportionate assets, the ACB on Thursday opened the officer’s bank locker at Indian Bank, Bajaj Nagar branch, Jaipur.
According to Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General of Police, ACB, Rajasthan, a total of 555.35 grams of gold—including gold biscuits and coins—was recovered from the locker, with an estimated market value of ₹72,33,240. In addition, important property-related documents linked to the officer’s Bajaj Nagar residence were also seized.
The ACB officials revealed that the accused officer had been deliberately delaying the opening of the locker, but the team proceeded with the operation, leading to the significant recovery.
So far, investigations have uncovered over ₹1 crore in various bank accounts and more than ₹1.20 crore in fixed deposits held by the accused.
This operation was conducted under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh Parmar, ACB Pratapgarh.
