Jaipur, October 13 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major breakthrough under Operation Chakravyuh, Pratapgarh Police arrested Nadeem Pathan, a wanted criminal carrying a ₹25,000 cash reward, who had been absconding in a high-profile MD drug and illegal weapons case valued at around ₹5 crore.

Superintendent of Police B. Aditya said that the Arnod police station team achieved this success following sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering. The accused, Nadeem Pathan, son of Rauf alias Bhaiyyu Lala, a resident of Naugawa, was arrested from his residence on Sunday, October 12, after being on the run for several months.

The arrest is linked to a case involving the seizure of 1.65 kilograms of MD drug, chemical substances used in its production, and a cache of illegal firearms, including a pistol, a 12-bore gun, and 161 live cartridges. Earlier, Nadeem’s brother Fardeen Khan had been arrested during the initial raid, while Nadeem managed to escape at the time.

SP Aditya recalled that on April 6, a police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Hazarilal Meena raided Fardeen Khan’s poultry farm in Naugawa and seized the large quantity of MD drugs and weapons. Since then, the main accused, Nadeem, had been evading arrest.

With inputs from informers and technical surveillance, the police tracked down and captured Nadeem at his home. The accused has a criminal history, including attempt to murder and three cases under the Arms Act.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Parbat Singh and Circle Officer Chandrashekhar Paliwal, with the team led by SHO Hazarilal Meena. The team also included ASI Premlal, Head Constables Dineshdas and Prabhuram, and Constables Deshraj, Dinesh Kumar, and Dilip Kumar.
