Mixed Weather in Jaisalmer: Cooler Nights and Warm Days Bring Relief to Residents | Udaipur Kiran

Jaisalmer, October 11 (Udaipur Kiran) — The weather in Jaisalmer is currently showing a mix of mild cold and warmth, offering residents a brief spell of pleasant conditions. For the third consecutive day, the night temperature has remained around 20°C, while the days continue to feel warm under the sun. The cool mornings and evenings have led many people to switch off their air conditioners and coolers.

According to the Meteorological Department, cold winds from northern India, where snowfall has begun, have started affecting parts of Rajasthan, including Jaisalmer. Weather experts predict that cloudy conditions will prevail for the next couple of days, accompanied by cool winds. After that, skies are expected to clear, and daytime temperatures may rise, though mornings and evenings will continue to feel cool.

On Friday, light cloud cover persisted throughout the day, causing only a 1°C rise in the maximum temperature, while the night temperature remained stable. Jaisalmer recorded a maximum of 35.5°C and a minimum of 20.8°C.

Local residents said the combination of cool mornings and evenings with warm afternoons has become part of their daily routine. People are spending less time under the afternoon sun and enjoying the natural chill in the air. The weather has also proved beneficial for farmers and livestock owners, providing favorable conditions for both agriculture and grazing.

Agricultural meteorologist Atul Galav noted that the western disturbances causing snowfall in northern regions are influencing the plains as well. He added that partial cloud cover is expected in the coming days, followed by clear skies and a gradual temperature increase.

The department has advised residents to stay cautious of temperature fluctuations, noting that while the cool breeze in the mornings and evenings will continue to bring comfort, daytime heat may still be noticeable. For now, the pleasant weather in Jaisalmer has brought a welcome relief to its residents.
