Two Most-Wanted Accused Arrested in Rajasthan Recruitment Exam Scam | Udaipur Kiran

Jaipur, October 3 (Udaipur Kiran News): The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Rajasthan and the National Task Force (NTF) have arrested two absconding accused carrying a reward of ₹25,000 each in connection with a major recruitment exam scam. The arrested men — Jogendra Singh, a resident of Pilani (Jhunjhunu district), and Paramjeet Singh from Haryana — are alleged masterminds of a hi-tech cheating racket.

According to ATS Inspector General (IG) Vikas Kumar, the arrests were made during a joint operation — Operation ABS Victor and Operation Jolly. Acting on intelligence, ATS teams raided a flat in Sector-37, Gurugram, where the suspects were staying. The ATS personnel disguised themselves as plumbers to gain entry and nab the duo, who had just returned after visiting the Mahakal Temple.

Preliminary investigation revealed that both accused are engineers by profession. After failing in multiple competitive exams, they started running a high-tech cheating network. They are accused of hacking examination systems remotely to solve papers in real time. In January, they allegedly hacked the National Seeds Corporation Limited Agri Trainee recruitment exam in Jaipur using remote access. Following the incident, both went underground.

The ATS probe uncovered that the duo operated multiple computer labs in Delhi and Jaipur, where they facilitated cheating in several online exams. They collected between ₹1.5 lakh and ₹8 lakh per candidate through coaching operators, promising guaranteed success. Investigators have identified dozens of exams where fraudulent passing was arranged.

IG Vikas Kumar stated that the accused had been on the run for over nine months, constantly changing locations and never staying at one place for more than three days. They destroyed their mobile phones by throwing them into rivers and used random passersby’s phones to avoid detection.

The breakthrough came after surveillance of an associate woman led the ATS to their hideout. After ten days of close monitoring, the team arrested both from Gurugram.

The ATS further revealed that the gang had contracts with companies like Tata, Aptech, CDAC, NSEIT, and Ginger, through which they leased computer labs and manipulated online exams.

The investigation is ongoing, and ATS officials are interrogating the accused to uncover their full network and the extent of the scam.
