Steelers Overcome Vikings 24-21 but Face Injury Concerns in Secondary | Udaipur Kiran

Dublin, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News): The Pittsburgh Steelers earned a 24-21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin on Sunday but walked away with several injury concerns, particularly in their secondary.

Following the game, head coach Mike Tomlin provided updates on four players who sustained injuries during the contest.

🔹 Injury Updates

  • Calvin Austin III (WR): Suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Reports indicate that he left the stadium in an ambulance primarily because Croke Park lacks an X-ray machine, not due to the severity of the injury.

  • Jalen Ramsey (CB): Dealt with a hamstring issue that caused him to be in and out of the lineup.

  • Brandin Echols (CB): Left the game with what appeared to be a non-contact injury, later confirmed as cramping.

  • Darius Slay (CB): Sustained a cleat injury, per Tomlin.

In addition to the in-game injuries, the Steelers were already missing several key starters, including:

  • Alex Highsmith (OLB)

  • Joey Porter Jr. (CB)

  • Jaylen Warren (RB)

🔹 Good News for Recovery

Fortunately, the Steelers have time to recover with an early Week 5 bye, giving the injured players two weeks to heal before their next matchup.

Despite the setbacks, Sunday’s performance showcased the team’s resilience, overcoming multiple absences to secure a narrow win overseas.
